Getting Started Guide

Learn the basics of designing and exporting your first ID card in under 5 minutes.

1. Create a New Template

Head over to your Dashboard and click on "Create New Template". This will open our powerful, browser-based drag-and-drop editor.

In the editor, you can change the card dimensions (CR-80 is the standard credit-card size), set a background color, or add background textures.

2. Add Text, Shapes, and Images

Use the left sidebar toolbar to add elements to your card:

  • Text: Add titles, labels, and static text like "Employee ID" or your company name.
  • Shapes: Use rectangles and circles to build beautiful header/footer banners or colored accents.
  • Images: Upload your company logo or background graphics directly from your computer.

3. Use Dynamic Fields (The Magic)

If you are generating cards for 100 different students, you don't want to design 100 different cards manually. Instead, use Dynamic Fields.

Any text that you wrap in curly braces becomes a placeholder. For example: {name}, {department}, or {employee_id}. When you use the Bulk Generator later, these exact names will map to the columns in your CSV spreadsheet, automatically filling in the real data for every person!

4. Save and Export

Once you are happy with the front (and optional back side) of your card, click Save Template. You can then instantly head over to the Bulk Generator to upload your employee list and print the final cards.
